I had the fortune of meeting a wonderful couple, Holly and Larry Shulman, who recently relocated to Sarasota, Florida from California. After they acquired one of my large scale abstracts from 2020, they chose to have a painting made just for them. They wanted the specific exterior/outdoor colors of blues, greens and corals to complement the interior living space of their home – almost as if to bring the outdoor colors indoors. We decided I would work with themes of joy, sunshine and jazz music as metaphors for Holly and Larry and their life together. I hope you enjoy the result. Holly chose the song, “Ripple,” by the Grateful Dead to accompany the time lapse of the painting.
